The class consists of a 1-hour overview of the course currently offered at The CGschool.

This course is designed for users with at least 12 months of production experience in V-Ray. The course starts with a fast but thorough look at the algorithms working behind the scenes of all the critical settings so that no misunderstanding is allowed. The instructor then moves into an in-depth analysis of the most common issues that plague even veteran users – speed, detail, and noise. After this, many advanced 3ds Max features that V-Ray can exploit are discussed, such as Texture Baking, Ambient Occlusion, Render Elements, and Linear Workflow. The instructor demonstrates exterior and interior lighting techniques used by major production houses and dissects award winning scenes to illustrate how other companies bring their projects to life. The course ends with a look at post production tools and techniques used in conjunction with V-Ray, including compositing tools and numerous plugins that allow the user maximize speed and efficiency. Who knows, being broadcast from the Chaos headquarters, maybe even a little something extra will be shown
