Topic: Interpolated Fuzzys

Love the new VRay 1.09.02a build. Just had a brief go of it.
For those of you playing around with the new Interpolated glossy reflections/refractions/translucency effects: if you want to speed up those test renders, turn off generate and receive GI for the interpolated/fuzzy object and any other GI intensive objects - under object settings in the render dialogue.
I've just been trying this out with interpolated translucency, and voila, finalrender style fast SSS.
Its the GI calculations that slow everything down...
Too bad the interpolated effects only work when the Irradiance map is turned on. Almost makes me wish there was a seperate pipeline for calculating interpolated effects - seperate to the GI calculation.
But it seems unfair to complain as Vlado and the team have done an excellent job getting this implemented. Kudos to all.
