It would be much appreciated if anyone could please give at least a generic description as how to use this, and to what goal?

The current version of VRAY, 109q, has the feature of doing color correction after you do your render. You can basically tweek your colors after your render s done.
Saves time if you don't have an alternative to Photoshop like Combustion or such.
