Topic: Scaled Camera Tip

Tip: MAKE SURE YOUR CAMERA DOESN"T HAVE ANY SCALE TRANSFORMATION!
We just spent a day troubleshooting a scene that uses Vray Displace, Afterburn, and thousands of particles, all interacting with each other. All that with VRay Motion Blur on top.
What would happen when we rendered on a 2 Gigabyte Ram system, was that sometimes the particles wouldn't render, or part of the geometry wouldn't render, or the Afterburn wouldn't render the same with Motion Blur on as it did when it was off, etc, etc. etc etc. Frames would also take several HOURS to render...but only sometimes.
After much mucking about streamlining the scene, testing different combinations of motion blur on/off, displacement on/off, particles hidden/unhidden, Maxshade context on/off, etc, we stumbled upon the camera having been inadvertantly SCALED.
Creating a new camera, fixed all the problems we were experiencing and trying to solve all day long.
So, just a tip, and a possible solution if you find yourself at your wits end and out of things to check.
