Write for VRay.info

We pay $100 and give you an exclusive VRay.info contributor T-shirt for your tutorial.

Starting in 2010 we are expanding our on-site tutorials section. This is your chance to show off your skills and contribute to the V-Ray community, and get paid at the same time!

What are we looking for?

We are looking for tutorials for ANY V-Ray related techniques. Anything from setting up the basics to advanced rendering, shaders, compositing and scripting. The tutorial should be fairly easy to follow, but does not have to be at beginner level. We will accept tutorials from beginner to advanced level. Preferably your tutorial should be broken down into easy to follow steps. Image(s) for each step will be required.

What's in it for you?

Apart from the $100 and the exclusive T-shirt, authors also get bragging rights and added exposure through a short bio, a picture, and a link back to their site in the sidebar.

VRay.info gets the exclusive right to publish your tutorial, and the tutorial must not already have been published on other sites. The only exception allowed is tutorials published on your personal/company blog or site, however we would appreciate this to have a link to VRay.info added.

The tutorial must be your own work. Paraphrasing or rewriting other tutorials will not be permitted, and if this is discovered the tutorial will be removed and no payment will be made.

Payments will be made via PayPal within two weeks after the Tutorial is approved and online, AND we have received an invoice. If you need help generating an invoice for the tutorial we will assist you.

Anyone can submit a tutorial. You do not have to have a finished tutorial ready, a description of what you want to write about is enough. We will notify you if your proposed tutorial is accepted, and send you detailed specs for the deliverables. You do not have to know or write any HTML, final formatting and layout will be taken care of by VRay.info.

Send your tutorial ideas or links to your existing tutorials for consideration to tutorials[at]vray.info.
